Yes and No
The only way to do it is to put flight plans in to get them to fly out and back to local (preferably very close) airfields at weird times of the night say when you won't be around. If you put the correct parking codes into the cfg files of the planes you can also have them parked in any gates or parking spots that you want

Hiya Gary. You certainly can, but I think daz wanted something based on AI which can't be static - always has to have a flight plan to and from somewhere.

				Hi All
I have several AI that appear to be static, like Rollerball said, I have them taking off from my airport once a week like at 0400 local and loop around to land right back at my airport.
I never see them leave or return but they are always there. Might have to stay up some night and see what they do.

Some airports have static aircraft that are not AI aircraft.
These planes are a part of the scenery for that airport and will never move.

Hay Gary:  Would it be nice if we could in clude those at our airports.
I've greatly reduced the number of static A/Is at my airport as the play havic on FPS

You can, but I'm not sure how. They would be static, maybe you could use Gmax, and set the coordinates for the gate you wanted them to park at.

Martian and Gary:  I think that the static ac at some airports are those that are in the list of objects that comes with the scenery SDK.  However they will not show up at just any airport, I know I've tried, You can compile them into a bgl file and add it to you local area, but if your area is not where M$ programed it, it will not show up.

The easiest way would probably be to just set a route for the 'static' aircraft in question, and have them fly a couple circuits, once a day. They will, for the most part, be static.
