I have just put together a small airfield using AFW and Afcad 2. The real field only has light Aircraft going in and out and I would like to replicate that. Is that possible, if so, how easy is it and are there any complete idiot guides to setting up

Hi PKS, It is possible, and it is very easy. I don't know of any begginers guides, but I can help you. First you must download TTools and AITE. You can get TTools by searching SimV, and you can get AITE at http://www.tradewind.org/TCA/website/store.htm. Install those and i can help you from there. What is the ICAO code you have given your airport?

Thanks for coming back to me on this. I already have TTools...that blew me away, I had a real attack of the Duh's.. I will get the other utility when I am home later. As for your question, I hadn't got a clue about naming conventions so I just called it EG99  :)

If you haven't already, then do a 'Decompile' of your traffic.bgl with ttools. It will create Airport, Aircraft and FlightPlans file, in the same directorya s the ttools.exe. I have lost my copy of TTools, so if you would open your 'Airport.txt' file and copy the LAST line onto here then I can show you how to add your own Airport. Are you using stock aircraft or add on? If its add on, then post the last line of the Aircraft.txt as well.
Thanks, Dan

Okay, I have redownloaded TTools & AITE. Here is the Airport file:
ZYTX,N41* 38.51',E123* 29.07',197

The ZYTX is the ICAO reg, you will type EG99,. Then go into Afcad and take the coords, which you may know already as it's your own airporta and add those. The 197 is the altitude, I don't think its too exact. Save that file and leave it. DONT forget the commas!!!
