What type/size parking spot should I use for Regoinal jets? ??? Do I use the "GA Ramp Large" spots or the "Charter All" or the "Gate Small"? ??? Right now my regionals are parking at gates. I don't think regionals use gates? Do they?

Please help me out.

  Hello
If by regional jets you mean CRJ'S I park mine at any small spot GA or GATE parking spot. In the real world they can share the same gate as the big boys do. I use to work for delta at KJAX and we use to park a comair CRJ at either gate A1 or gate A2 depending on the time of day and if anyother planes were coming in. But we did not use the jetway to load and unload passengers with as the jetway would not go down far enough.

I am by no means an expert but at the new Ottawa terminal (CYOW) the Canadair CRJ's pull up to the gates and use the ramps (or jetways i guess) to load/offload just like it was an A340 or something.

Like I said it is not uncommon for a CRJ to use a jetway to load and offload passengers with But in order to do that the jetway has to be able to get down that low. Some of the older jetways are not able to get that low because of the way they were designed. The big wheels it steers with will not allow them to go that low.
But some of the newer jetways are built different and have no problem doing this.
