Aircraft.txt file

I downloaded Delta Airlines Flight Plans recently, but the AC#s were like, 2104, 2105, etc.  So when I modified the flightplans to add in the AC numbers of my OWN aircraft, I had to replace each AC number with the one that was assigned to the matching aircraft I had downloaded.  This was very tedious work! >:(

When adding my next AI  Delta plane to the directory:  [glb]aircraft.txt[/glb], Can I set the AC# as what the flight plans say? Or do the AC numbers have to be in order?

Im sorry this is probably very confusing the way I put it!  If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated! :)

Thank You

If you look throught the aircraft.txt file you will see breaks in the sequence.  If you loaded one of the AI packages, like PAI, they typically segregate the aircraft numbers by airline to keep some order in the aircraft.txt file.

So yes, you can add new aircraft to FS2004 either choosing the next sequential number available or using your own set of aircraft numbers.
