Does anyone know how to convert add-on planes, from flyable to AI? I'm trying to convert the FSD T-38 to an AI for my home town base. I've already done the AFCad for the base, to real world specs, just trying to get the proper planes on the Tarmac. Will take any help that I can get.

you need to take the title line from the air.cfg and add that to your airplane.txt.

You first need ttools which is one this site.

That will give you your 3 txt files.

Then which ever plane from the T-38 you want add the title line to your aircraft.txt file.

then in afcad at the base you are adding you will need to click on the runway to get it to turn yellow, then right click and choose properties.

take the name of the base, ex KPOB for Pope, take the long and lat and the elevation from that window and condensite to look like this

KPOB,N35* 10.15',W79* 0.76',217

Or you could just use AITM. No text file editing required.

Was the question to make the aircraft in AI with less mb so not to affect the frame rates by number of aircraft?
I would like to know this as well.
If you took the panel out how much d you gain?

the panel is a big hit but I also fly these planes so removing the panel wouldn't work.

I also heard removing the sound helps in frame rates but then when you are taxing behind a Herc you need to hear it coming

Not sure what AITM is but you still need to copy over your title line so it knows what AI planes are on the list don't you
