Does AImover work with new TTools?

				Hi.
Has anyone tried the old version of AIMover (frontend for TTools) that worked with FS2002 with the NEW version of TTools?
Just downloaded the new TTools..... but since I always used AIMover to do all the "work"..... I am a "baby" with TTools directly.  So for me TTools is still basically useless  ;).  Really don;t want to have to "learn" it..... since I know AIMover very well now.  It makes usiong TTools a snap.  No lists of almost incomprehensible and easily screwed up coded flight plans.
best,
...................john

				Well.....
I answered my own question.  It appears not to work.
It requires that there be the TTools decompiler and the compiler present.  It is looking for Tdecompiler.exe and Tcompiler.exe. So it stops right there.  I put the new single file version in the right place and it does not work due to the filename issue in AITrafficMover.  Tried a couple of possible workarounds... but they were getting too complex to be practical.
Guess I'll have to wait until the program is updated....if it ever is.
best,

I have been hearing that AITrafficMover is likely to be updated for the new version of FS and TTools soon.
At the moment.... I am using a different program...... yRoute ....... as a front end for TTools.... and I finally have some real airline names and routes back into FS2004.  WHAT a difference that makes in the sim.... at least to me.  Now when I fly in Japan....... I see Asian airlines.....not Pacifica, Landmark, et al  ;).
yRoute is a pretty neat program.  Wish I could combine some of its features with AIMover.
best,
...............john

You can make AITM work with FS2004.
1)Open ttools and make a not of aircraftsXXXXXX.txt where the XXXXXX is some number, specifically inserted by TTools to differentiate b/w FS2004 and FS2002.
2)Decide which aircraft you are interested in.
3)Note the AC# number of that aircraft in aircraftXXXXXX.txt file [eg., AC#1,200,"Beech Baron 58"]
4)Launch AITM.
5)Open flightplansXXXXXX.txt
6)Make any additional flightplans and then save the flightplan.
7)DON'T compile using AITM.
8.)Exit AITM
9)open flightplansXXXX and replace the AC# of your flightplan with your aircraft's AC#
9)Open TTOols.exe
10)Compile aircraftXXXXX, airportsXXX, flightplansXXXXXX using TTOols.
11)See if it works

				Microsoft,
Every time I try to use AITM it automatically goes to the FS2002 directory structure.... I acan't seem to get it to stop doing that.
I tried the method you are mantioning and it didn't work.
Do you have fs2002 on your system....and had AITM working on THAT version BEFORE you started using it for FS2004?

I don't understand what you mean. Open flightplansXXXXXX.txt using CTRL+O in AITM. [After decompiling traffic.bgl in FS2004 using TTools]. Then just make the changes you want and save the flightplan. And remember to change the AC# to that of your choice, for which you should see aircraftXXXXXX.txt and see the for your aircraft.
AITM will, by default use only FS2002 aircrafts. Let it use any aircraft, we will change it afterwards in flightplansXXXXXX.txt
I do have both FS2002 and FS2004.

				John,
I think the point he is trying to make is that you should only be using AITM to open and edit
flight plans, while using your TTools v2.0 or 2.02 to decompile and compile the Traffic.bgl.
Hope this helps a little..........

Why? Don't you think MS is almost like a God now-a-days with them controlling so many aspects of our life? Anyway, lets leave it aside for now.
