Help removing default buildings

Postby Hernan2 » Mon Jul 21, 2003 6:23 pm

Hello, I just downloaded a good looking freeware scenery for the John Wayne, Orange County airport in Southern California (KSNA). However, I noticed that the default terminal is still showing up. I know I have to go to my scenery.cfg file and add an "Exclude=", entry, but I don't know what are the coordinates to be entered as well as what follows to that entry. Please see if you could help me. This scenery is a very good one for being freeware. Thanks, Hernan ;D

Hernan,

This doesn't appear to be a TTools/AFCAD issue, but I'll do my best!

Searching the threads, I found your dialogue with Hagar (Doug) from two months ago:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb/ ... 17;start=3

When you make your "Exclude=" entry in the Scenery.cfg file, try using the airport coordinates as you did with Honolulu, and, instead of ending the entry with "all", try ending with the word "objects."  This should remove remove three-dimensional scenery, including buildings.

Good luck!

Erik :)

What I generally do using Airport for Windows, is to make the new terminal bigger than the default by a few feet.  This simply covers it up.  Or - add to the default building by using the default textures.  On runways, Airport for Windows allows exact alignment but it takes some work with less than 1 degree variations.
