hi
i have fsx and i tried to download the aircraft aa-5b but once i download it i cant find the fsx aircraft folder. i looked in the fsx files but it was not there. someone help me.

Unlike FS9 & previous versions of FS, FSX has no default Aircraft folder. You can install your addons to the SimObjects\airplanes folder.

Sorry. I didn't realise you're new at this. First, may I suggest you read my "Windows Basics" & "Working with Windows" articles from the link to my Lair in my sig. Then follow the FS2004 Aircraft Installation tute. I haven't got round to writing one for FSX yet. See how you get on. Don't be afraid to ask if you run into problems.

PS. There's no need to install WinZip or any other utility for extracting zipfiles so ignore that part of the tute. You can open zipfiles in the WinXP default utility by double-clicking on them. Then copy the necessary files/folders & paste them into the appropriate locatons in FSX. It's very simple once you know how.

ooh ya and on fs9 i tried to download the aa-5b and i put it in and it did not show up on the game. how do i plays it

Please read those tutes.

PS. Make sure you download the complete aircraft. The US one. The Cabair one is a repaint only.
