AFCAD Airport location

Postby ivormills » Thu Jul 27, 2006 3:03 am

I posted this in the scenery section, which was probably the wrong place, anyway.....I want to move an airport AFCAD to a different location, changing the LAT/LONG moves the airport reference point but not the airport. Is it possible to move the airport?

That's covered in sec. 25 and 26 of the Afcad help file.

Use your cursor  to draw a rectangle around the airport. This will select all objects within the rectangle. (you can also click Edit>Select All)

Hold down the Shift key and drag the group to a new location.

Keep in mind that this will only change the location of the objects. It will not change other properties such as altitude, heading, etc.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

Thanks for your reply Dave, but when I said moving the airport to a different location, I meant a different part of the country. I don't see any reference to this.

I was afraid of that.  ;)

I dont see any good way either. As there is no copy/paste function that I know of, my guess is your left with move and pan, move and pan.
