Look up one of the AI packages using Google and go from there.
Project AI is a good place to start. They have all kinds of airline schedules you can install.
Those flight plans will also install their respective aircraft so you will see a lot of Project AI aircraft when you start the sim and choose the aircraft you want to fly.
You can then set the amount of AI traffic you see in the options section of FS9 from 0% to 100%.
Now for the usual disclaimers, cautions, and warnings.
1. Do not attempt to fly AI aircraft yourself. They do not have panels and their flight charictaristics kinda suck.
2. AI traffic will land and if there is no place to park they will disappear from the runway. This is normal.
3. Dont have so much AI traffic running that you cant talk to ATC. I know it sounds simple but it has happened. When this happens your flight plan can get cancelled.
4. You may see AI Aircraft following very closely during flight or landing. This is not normal and is caused by having an extra AI traffic file in FS9. If this happens you will have to find the offending file and get rid of it. This Traffic file is located in your world/scenery folder. You will probably see two or more files that start Traffic, have numbers and/or letters, and have the bgl extension. Delete the ones that are duplicated and the problem will dissappear.
Have fun flying with AI. It does make the sim a little bit more realistic. If you have any other questions just ask. Somebody here knows the answer and will get back to you.
Dag nab it. If I keep up with these long winded posts I wont make 500 till 2100
