AI ANNOYING

Postby andrewgeorge60 » Fri Aug 19, 2005 8:46 am

Hi folks, ive been experiencing a problem when taking off at manchester egcc runway 24R.....

Usualy i have traffic set very high, and there is always an AI aircraft before me on taxi to the runway.

When tuned to the tower i listen, but this 1 AI aircraft doesnt   get clearence to take off, it just taxis on to the runway and stays there.

i then request T/O clearence and tower clears me, but i cant get passed the one on the runway without taxing THROUGH it lol.

Its only that runway and airport, i have re-installed fsim several times to try and cure it, still no luck though

Any help is appreciated...

Checking it out, I see its missing a 'normal' hold short node.

Will add one ad see if that helps.

Dave

Edit: Yup, that cured it. If you have/use afcad2 open EGCC and add the missing normal hold short node to 24R.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
