AI TRAFFIC

Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc

AI TRAFFIC

Postby Britannia767 » Fri Dec 10, 2004 11:33 am

Hey all
Just wondering if anyone might know why that when i have 100% traffic selected i don't have that much traffic. For example at Gatwick where i have downloaded plenty of aircraft for, and my afcad has an allocation for every stand not much traffic seems to show.

 Cheers in advance

Just because you have downloaded aircraft to use as AI it will not show up unless you make it part of a traffic file.
You can use TTOOLS to do this with or go to www.projectai.com
This site has a ton of ai files. What you need to do is try to find out which airline flies to that airport a lot then download that airlines traffic from project ai. You will need the pai installer just follow the simple instructions.
I should caution you not all aircraft are good to use for AI as they can have a huge effect on frame rates.
All of the files at project are frame rate freindly. 8)

Thanks for replying so quickly. I have downloaded all the airlines such as Britannia, My Travel, First Choice, Thomas Cook, British Airways, Delta, Excel, American, Continental and various others but with still not many showing, really don't know why this might be. Do i have to create my own flightplans or should the ones from the appropiate airlines do????

O.K., I'm confused You report you d/l "aircraft" (didn't say from where); garymbuska answers suggesting the problem and you reply with the same question only this time you saY: "downloaded airlines"

Well, I have to say I'm confused and regret not being able to make any suggestions which have not already been stated here.

1.) "Planes" and "aircraft" will NOT show up in the sim as AI traffic simply by virtue of the fact they are on one's system

2. "Airlines", on the otherhand, WILL show up as traffic if they are PAI or Ultimate Traffic using the correct installation

Sorry I couldn't be of more help with the limited amount of information provided.

Bill

P.S. I have tons of FS9 traffic using the method described by gary and purchasing Ultimate Traffic (UT)

Yes
you have to make your own flight plans for any plane you want to use as AI traffic. This is not that hard to do with TTOOLS .
But like I said before I would advise against making flyable aircraft into AI aircraft it can have big effect on your frame rates.
Most if not all of those airlines can be downloaded from project ai .
Using project AI is the simplest way to make ai traffic when you download say delta airlines you will get traffic for delta at every airport they fly into at the time the file was created.
If you use TTOOLS you will have to add any airports you want the plane to fly in and out of. This can be very time consuming.
But it is your choice. 8)
