getting rid of default commercial traffic

Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc

getting rid of default commercial traffic

Postby ciuwilliam » Mon Aug 30, 2004 7:02 pm

I know this question has been asked before, but I'm noy sure where to find the answer. I recently downloaded project ai and added some flight packages to it like US air and American Air. How do i get rid of default commercial traffic like orbitz, landmark, etc and see more of ai traffic. I downloaded something from project ai that said it would remove default commerical traffic, but so far it hasn't worked. Can anyone give me some good advice. I am new at this

All you have to do is remove the traficbgl file from the scenery/world/scenery folder and its gone.
You will find this file toward the bottom of the files 8)

I have been wondering about this for some time!

Glad someone finally told me how!

Yeah, but it's worth it!  I think getting rid of the default AI traffic dramatically improved my framerates!  I had to download a file for the General Aviation tho...no big deal!

Did you set the AI traffic slider to 100% in the Settings/traffic section?

Removeing the default Ai does make a difference in your farm rates. That is why I moved mine default traffic some time ago & use AI files from project AI so far there AI plans seem to be very frame rate friendly.
