Recommended Add-ons

Postby rikm12345 » Tue Aug 05, 2008 2:33 pm

Hi,
I currently have FSX running on my machine, but i quite fancy sticking FS2004 on, which i've never tried. I realise the differences between both, but would like to have them both on. Im looking to buy a load of add-ons for it and would appreciate if i people could post some ideas.

Thanks

Paywares for FS2004?

Where to begin?!

GA aircraft:
Carenado or eaglesoft

Commercial Aircraft:
PSS Airbusses
Captain Sim 757
PMDG (difficult to master, unbeleiveably accurate)

Military aircraft:
IRIS
Alphasim
Captain Sim

Sceneries:
Fly Tampa - TNCM is a MUST, so is KSFO
SimFlyers are very good
Lago emmas feild
Flight Zone - EXCELLENT probably top of the list

Or theres lots of good freewares
POSKY for beings
Dreamwings do some good embraers and more
IFDG do great A320 family aircraft

The list could go on!

It really depends on how you like to fly.

If you like the large aircraft and long haul, then go for some PSS A340 or PMDG 747, with some fly tampa / simflyers sceneries. E.g. KORD, KJFK, KSFO, LFDG, EDDF

If you like GA more, Carenado / eaglesoft aircraft are excellent, along with flight zone, just flight flying club, lage emmas feild.  Even the lago freight dog or misty fjords?  which are great for little amphibious or floating cessnas and the likes with great VFR scenery and little places to land all over the place (if im right)

Sorry to go on and on and on but those are my best suggestion. Which are all very mainstream though. Someone else may be able to point you in the way of some lesser known gems

I do hope this helped and didnt just confuse you!  :-[

Sorry for soooooo much writing!

Its not a problem

But there are a few errors that need correcting, PSS have gone out of business so their aircraft are no longer on the market, but there are alternative airbusses.  Aerosoft do the A320 family plus one other company do...  and CLS do A300, A310, A330, A340 and even the A380. And they are good quality too.

Cheers
Danny

Flight sim wouldn't be flight sim without problems, tweaks etc.. Lol

I own the FSX version of CLS A340 & 747, so hopefully they will install into FS2004.

The airports, flytampa, etc.. look Wicked!!

Looking forward to getting my fs2004 loaded.

Thanks again!!!!

Much Appreciated
