hey i was wondering if anyone could point me towards some good (preferably) freeware ground textures

The one I've always liked is the Reality Pack 1.2.  Those are some amazing ground textures!!!!  Here's an example:



Be aware, though, that at least on my system they DO take their toll on framerate :-/ .

To get them search for "realitypack1.2_part1.zip" on Avsim (whoops, did I just say that?!?!?! ).  That's the first part and you'll find the link to the second there.

those loke photoreal which im not too keen on, sorry i should of specified in my initial post.

im hearing that Real Environent or something that is quite good, if so an anyone give a link??

If you want ground textures this only comes with taxiway and runway textures. I use vista australis for other ground textures.
