Hi all I've seen a few people talkin about a freeware Screenshot taking program for FS9. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much obliged.

Okay, there's nearly a dozen different screenshot programs you can get, ranging from the simplest freeware (FSScreen) to some extremely complicated payware (SnagIt) and everything in between.

I personally use FS Screen, as its just about the simplest and smallest program that still gets me what I want.  You simply drop it in some convenient folder, run the program and start pressing the Print Screen button on your keyboard.  The images are automatically stored in the same folder as the program itself, and each is labled "fsscr###.bmp" (#'s are numbers).  Once you get done taking shots, you can go in and edit them to your hearts content.

Once I have all the shots I want, I have to convert them over to JPEG format for posting around here.  For that I use IrfanView, another freeware program.  Again, like the screenshot program, there is a very broad range of stuff to use for this, ranging from IrfanView to top-dollar image editors like PhotoShop (around $650 US ) and Paint Shop Pro X (about $100 US).

So you see, it just depends on how much you are into all of it.  If you want to take fine quality shots for a spectacular system and have some money to blow, give it a whirl.  If not, you can still get some really good stuff for free . . .
