does anyone know of any good freeware JATO (Jet Assisted TakeOff) effect?

I don't think there are any...the Captain Sim C130T does nothing but a firey effect...it has no change in Flight Dynamics what soever

i made my own effect but no dynamics change all i done was used the F-14s location for the AB but put it in the lights section for Mike Stones C-130 and instead of the AB effect i used light beacon and smoke the beacon plays funny with the smoke and makes it look awesome... but im thinking about using the F-14 AB effect ill try er out but no dynamic change sorry

you could make it so it turns the (simulated) afturnburner on to give some extra boost.

Theres also a vague thought floating about my head about making some flaps that are like the VSTOL harrier flight synamics in FS, so that the first few notches of flap are normal, but if you put it into full flaps then you get a hurrendous boost of lift!

If someone can come up with the FX then i might be inclined to look at the Flight Dynamics issues.

that is what I intended to do for the boost all I am looking for is the FX

try adding that to your cfg its just a quick thing i done a while back like i said thinking about using the F-14 burners but it would look quite right, this one is just smoke during the day but at evening dawn and night there are lights that light up lol everything is there so just copy and paste to the end of your cfg
