Postby HolluH14 » Mon Feb 13, 2006 2:46 pm

Does anyone know where I can get textures for Mike Stone aircraft besides www.avsim.com?  Also, a quick tutorial on how to add the textures would be appreciated becuse I don't think I'm doing it right  :P  Thanks!

You can get repaints right here at Simviation. http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/search.pl?p=1&lang=en&include=&exclude=&penalty=5&mode=all&q=mike+stone+repaint

Repaints should come ready to install. The new textures will be in a folder named Texture.whatever with whatever being the specific name of the variation. This should be pasted into the main folder of the original version of the aircraft which should be already installed & working. There should be a sample Aircraft.cfg entry included in the instructions with the repaint. This can usually be copied direct from the instructions & pasted into Aircraft.cfg of the appropriate aircraft. Change X in the [fltsim.x] header to the next number in sequence. The texture= line points to the name of the texture folder after the period (full stop) - in this case whatever.

[fltsim.x]
title=Myplane Red & Blue
sim=Myplane
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=whatever
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=
ui_manufacturer=Myplane
ui_type=Whatever
ui_variation=Red & Blue

Theres a good few of my Mike Stone repaints here at simv, and I include instructions on how to install. If your having problems with the instructions then feedback is appreciated so I can change them.
