What is a good download for more realistic crashes and damage?

I trust you understand that the point of the sim is not to crash.

That being said, if you are determined to see a big bang get Nick's Massive Crash http://www.simviation.com/fs2002misc13.htm

I know that, but when I do occasionaly crash I would rather see fire than just my engine shutting off.

Another wry attempt at humor goes unappreciated.

Nick's Massive Crash will do what you want.

Edit: It probably says it in the instructions but make sure all of your aircraft.cfg files say:

visual_damage=1

I think its anoying if the plane starts malfunctioning, dives, and then just sticks in the ground without a hope of getting back up >:(! I'd like a real crash, so thanks for the link. Also, its lame that when you crash in water, you suddenly regain altitude with a working engine and all if you sink completely under water, they should only have FLIGHT OVER messages............

Heh heh, I'm having a grand time with fx downloads and different freeware aircraft. I finally got the crashh fx to work and now everything blows up real good (of course, just nosediving into the ground doesn't always trigger the fx). If you want to cause some real damage, find and download the nuclear bomb fx. (laughs maniacly)!
