A Quickie

I'm trying to edit one little icon in my CFS3 textures, but this would require DXTbmp and I don't want to download it just for one icon.

I have the replacement ready and all it would require is a copy/paste action.  Is anybody up to it?  I'll send you the old and new texture. ;)

DXTBmp is just over 800 Kb. It would be much quicker & far less trouble for you to download it & do the job yourself. :P

Hey Scorpion,

Why don't you download it, it would give you a chance to learn how to use the program :)

Gee golly wizz Hagar!  You just happen to be everywhere I am... [insert suspicious look here]

A slow internet (not 56K slow, but just-after-a-rainshower slow) and the fact I've never managed to use DXTbmp successfully... But if you say so. :P ;)

It's just a coincidence. Honest. ;)

If you have a slow connection it strikes me you would have the same problems with e-mail. I would willingly do it for you but I must warn you I don't have CFS3 installed. I'm not familiar with the texture formats & I can't check it out. Seems to me it's quicker all round if you do it.

Rats.

Everytime I try to save or preview in any format, the image is skewed. :P What am I doing wrong?

I have no idea. The usual method is to open the image in DXTBmp & Save As in the appropriate format. Always worked fine for me.

I just tried an ordinary texture in DDS format. I thinks that's the CFS3 default. Looks just the same reloaded in DXTBmp so maybe you're editing the wrong texture or something like that.

I think this would be better answered in the deign boards. :)

OK. Good luck. This should be quite straightforward.  It would usually be me that answers it in the Design forum anyway. ::) ;)
