I posted this same inquiry over on the Aircraft Design forum but will repeat it here because some folks with the answer may not look over there reqularly.
I am a new comer to Flight Sim. and I run the FS2K standard version (Not the pro).
For my first project I want to change the stock F4U-1A to a F4U-1D. They look the same (almost) so I won't have to do any graphics just yet. Easy deal yes ?
I made the changes to the aircraft .cfg file in notepad and saved the changes, but when I fly the aircraft it is not changed or if changed it is so little that you can't tell.
The SDK tells me this is to be expected and that I need to run FSEDIT to incorporate the .cfg changes into the .air file.
Where to I get FSEDIT ? I don't have the Pro version so all those neat tools aren't available to me.
Need some help with this.
