Good afternoon all.  I was wondering if any of you have ever stumbled across and scan files for North or South Carolina.  I found 2 big files for them from FS 98 but I can't get them to work.

I have looked through the 4 FS web site that I have been able to find but I don't knw what else is out there.

Thanks: John

P.s. I have installed the SC airforce base pack that I found here.

Hi John, by scan files I'm assuming you mean some kind of terrain mesh?
The 98 ones won't work in 2k2, but the 2k ones might. There are several different meshes for the US, both freeware and payware. If you can't find anything here, then try flightsim.com, or avsim.net.

Ozzy ;)

John,

Search for a file called fsworld2002 at avisim.  It contains a  listing of thousands of scenery files and you can also search by state.  There are some for SC and NC.   ;)

Thanks: John

Finally a new version! An additional online update should follow soon.

These files contain a database of more than 3,000 scenery files for MS FlightSimulator 2002/2000. Each file entry contains information about download locations, size, date of release, author, required files and a short description. The list should be completely updated as August 31, 2002.

INCLUDED FILES:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- FSW2002.HTML  the starting page
- *.HTML        the different listings (55)
- *.GIF/*.JPG   several graphics
- FILE_ID.DIZ   identification file
- README.TXT    you're reading it
- LIESMICH.TXT  this text in German

INSTALLATION
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unzip the files to a directory of your choice, e.g. c:\fsworld

John, I keep giving you bits and pieces.  Here is the web site.  It will have the FSworld2k2 data base and a web ring to other FS scenery sites also.  He does not update it too frequently, but I was able to get files for SC that I would not have otherwise known about.

here is the site: http://www.flusi-ecke.de/

Hope this helps.
