Improved ATC AI

Postby mpicco » Mon Jul 23, 2007 9:15 pm

Is there any improved ATC AI out there? Im tired of doing all sort of weird behaviour because the ATC takes stupid decisions. I do understand its AI and it will never think like a human, but it does things like:

- On initial, constantly change my course, to do minor adjustments, like "turn 030" *im not done even turning* "turn 050"

- Send me (a B734) to FOLLOW THE CESSNA ON FINAL. Are we nuts? it always ends up with me going around. Cant it make me enter the holding pattern instead of making me waste my hydraulic fluid?. I disabled private aviation... but it still tells me to follow aircraft on final. Always ends on go-arounds. Its like a psycho ATC wanting to kill everybody.

- Asking me to spot traffic everywhere, what if i dont have the trafic? you chose, "Dont have the traffic", and the guy doesnt update their position, or anything, the options sit there till i say "have the traffic".

- Some days ago, there was this stupid AI pilot arguing with the stupid ATC. It was something like "Airwave 3832 request to land on runway ##" "Negative, this airport is not VFR" . Repeat, repeat, repeat, i tuned the ATIS just not to listen to them anymore.

Any suggestions?
(using FS9 btw)

AISmooth to help with Go-Arounds.

And Radar Contact for better ATC overall.
