AI Refueling Tankers

Postby edzmen » Wed Sep 15, 2004 4:19 am

Does anyone know of any good air-to-air-refueling tankers that can be used as AI OK in FS2002?

Ive got a few like a Victor and a US KC-135R but the re-fueling probes dont deploy when flown as AI.

Is there any that work ok in AI mode - and if so do you have a link so i can download it?

Cheers!

As far as I know, there are none yet.

Bot don't lose hope, I am planning a KC-97, a Tristar, and a VC10. All will have AI models, featuring probes deployed by the gear coming up. This means that they will show up on AI aircraft. Alternativly, if you can't wait, I think I saw a payware product featuring the tornado. This includes VC-10 tankers that can actually refuel your aircraft in mid-flight.

i posted something a while ago (i think in the FS2004 forum) about a freeware update pack which installs a Vulcan with hoses. normally you needed the payware Vulcan too, but it's not necessary. for me it worked just fine.
the thread called something like: "Good news for all the Vulcan fans". just have a search here on the forums.  ;)

I know where to get AI tankers, such as MC-130's, for 2002, but nothing large like KC-10's...

If you're prepared to do the payware thing, the Lago F-16's and Tornados include very usable AI tankers as part of the setup.
