ACAB

I was looking at a aircraft carrier download that said "Acab" not included.
I believe this is now a freeware product ?
Does anyone know where this is available ?

sdk,

Unless something changed in the last few weeks..... Arrestor Cables is a payware program that is now supplied as part of the Flight Deck III aircraft carrier package from Abacus.  The freeware version of Arrestor Cables (which worked with pre-ACOF sims)..... was "pulled" from the internet when Abacus bought the rights to the program.  Any versions that you might still find posted are illegal.

I purchased FlightDeck III at retail just prior to the release of ACOF.  I was very disappointed in the quality of the program back then.  Abacus's policy on upgrades to a new version that works with FS2004 has prevented me from trying to get it running in the new sim.  (See the payware forum thread about Abacus.)

For payware, the aircraft included were a total joke.  Heck... for freeware they'd be a joke.   ;)  The carriers were OK but nothing astounding.  The arrestor cables part of the program (which uses FSUIPC to get the data out of the sim) worked great.

The situation may have changed.... but I don;t think so.

best,

.........................john

Yeah, I had an Abucus Title National Parks that I wanted to update to FS2004 and they wanted more money !
On principal I would not buy another Abucus product from now on.
For example the Greatest Airplanes Archer no problems downloaded upgrade no charge no problems.
Most other companies upgrade without cost.
