Once again, thanks for the tips on self-installin aircraft. I gotthe goose, apache, liscombe and tripacer but failed to get the tiger moth and the Hawaiian download, even though the self-installer said it was successful. Another mystery is without downloading them, I got ford and chrysler cars sitting on a runway LOL. I also got a travel air biplane and Kellet autogiro, again without purposely downloading. Odd. I wonder if you fellas know of any FSx selfinstallers, especially two engine passengers like Dash or  any other commuter type?  Oh yes, I got the sikorsky seaplane and a pontoon cub j3. Again, a mystery.

Bill Lyons often includes goodies with his files. The Sikorsky S43, Kellett autogyro & Ford panel truck are included with the Golden Hawaii package. Not sure where the Chrysler or J3 came from.

I also got two more aircraft: the Stinson and Pietenpol. (sp)

This package includes a Primary Glider & Ford Roadster. Also a 1930 style airfield named Hillcrest.

This is all mentioned in the file descriptions & Readme instructions with the files. It's always worth reading them carefully. Much of this will remain a mystery if you restrict yourself to using auto-installers.

Hagar: Point taken. I do read the "read me" files when possible but I don't willingly restrict myself to auto-downloads. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I am woefully ignorant of computers even tho I have owned and used one as a substitute typewriter since 1983. I don't understand the lingo and as a result, I have already screwed up a registry on my old puter. So I am now a little gunshy and this new Windows 7 complicates things more for me.

I can understand that & have no knowledge of Vista or Windows 7 myself.

Regarding the Golden Hawaii package you should find a new icon named golden_hawaii.exe on your Desktop. If you double-click on it you can toggle between the original MS & Golden Hawaii scenery. Select the latter then start FS9 & select one of the Golden Hawaii flights.
