Looking for a reasonably fast single engine payware/freeware, with the best, smoothest gauges for instrument flight.

Hi olderndirt.

I'd suggest the freeware Cessna C150 by 'Fravin' (here http://www.fs-tutorials.com/en/down_plane_C150_01.php) which requires you to fly in VC view as it doesn't have a 2D panel. Worth a look.

;)

that is a great little plane......but it ain't fast...
I would suggest you spend a little time looking around at the carenado site, I have their c182,piper Dakota, and their c206. All of which I can't say enough about......perhaps their mooney might be a good choice for what you are looking for

Unfortunately I did not recognize that you may be asking for FSX aircraft.

This is the page with the original TBM 700:
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004props90.htm
Just one file.....

And this looks like an unofficial third-party update which I have not tried:

May I assume that your gauges are now working, and the plane is functional in whatever sim you are using? (No guarantees in X, but it should be brilliant in 2004.)

The second (larger) file is excellent and I'm working on a little knowledge of turboprops.
