I'm looking for recommendations for FSX payware models of the A-10 Warthog & the F-4 Phantom(US Navy version).  Any opinions or recommendations are welcome.

I believe Aerosoft is developing (updating?) their FS2004 A-10 offering for FSX. No idea on a release date though.

Developer "Cloud9" has a very nice FS2004 Phantom available. along with a time limited demo, so I suppose you could see if it works in FSX. (Unlikely, but possible).

Other than these two, I am not aware of any addon versions for these aircraft.

I appreciate the replies.  Anybody tried the Abacus A-10?

I recommend staying away from Abacus products, unless you absolutely, positively have to have this plane in your collection right now, and can't wait for the future developments.

Abacus is geared toward very new simmers, and in my opinion, their models, as well as systems simulations leave a lot to be desired.

Also, if it is the same Abacus A-10 that I am familiar with, it was originally created for FS2002/CFS2.

You confirmed what I was thinking, their free trial VC seems way too simplified, thanks again.

I am a huge FS fanatic, and I love flying around in many different types and sizes of AC......but when I want to enjoy the thrill of strapping into an old jet like an F-4 or even an A-10 and flying fast and dangerously, my strongest suggestion goes to this game here http://www.thirdwire.com/projects.htm

If your ready to spend on payware for these kind of planes, then your money will be better spent ($20!!) on this game. The flight models are awesome, the graphic are great, and they are alot of fun. and like FS there are endless aircraft and scenery upgrades (freeware) you can pretty much get any jet, old or new, and add them to the game.
Enjoy FS for what it's good at......and try this series of games for what it's good at......
