Grumman F9F Cougar, a rare bird indeed!

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Grumman F9F Cougar, a rare bird indeed!

Not only have I searched here, but other sites as well. Why hasn't
anyone made a Grumman F9F Cougar for FS2004? When I first saw the Blue Angels perform, they were flying Cougars, hence my love for that particular aircraft. I'd just like one in standard Navy paint, but that
and Angels both would be great.

I'm pretty sure there is an F9F around here somewhere, did you try both the Vintage section as well as the props?  I thought for sure I saw a F9F here...

I have the F9F cougar that I believe I downloaded from Simviation. It wa created by Kazunori Ito. I'm using FS9 and I think it't a beauty to fly.  ;)

Here you go. http://simviation.com/simviation/?type=item&ID=86&page=2

It might need some work. According to the file description it's model and texture only. No panel, sound, AIR file or Aircraft.cfg is included.

Edit. There seems to be a problem with the link to the file.

I think I can find the one by Ito again, but I don't know how to do what is necessary to finish it. This is an area I am completely unfamiliar with.

I have this aircraft but I need the aircraft.cfg and F9F Cougar.air files, as they are not included.

I believe with Ito's files, you must send him an email, and he sends the remaining bits of the file.

Not sure why he does it this way now, it used to not be that way.

I have Ito's Cougar.  To make it work, I swapped in the files for Olsen's F-86 for the missing files, I believe.  It's been a while, so I do not recall what all had to be tweaked.
