Making changes to the model is only possible, if one has the core files (or source files, me forgetz the name! :D ).

You could always check out Carenado's C172 :)

I can't help with the repainting but I know where that is. Hope you enjoyed your lesson. Do you live locally?

id rather not pay $26 for a model, i was kinda just looking for a retexture of the basic 172 thats already in FSX. The new model was just a shot in the dark really.

and yeah it was great fun, especially being only 16 :) and yes i live localy, like a 5-10minute drive

I would be willing to give this repaint a shot, if there is anyway possible you can get a direct side-on profile shot of it, that would help immensely. ;)

I might be able to help there. No promises & it might take a bit of finding.

This wouldn't be ... Shoreham ... would it? I just got two flying lessons (in a Piper Warrior!) for my (cough, cough)st birthday from dear Mrs Microlight, so will be flying from there is a short while!

That would be great!  Not completely necessary, but it really helps for lining things up exactly. :)

And also makes photo-real paints possible. ;)

Thanks! :)

I should have kept my big mouth shut. I found a couple but they're no better than the one you already have. Sorry.

It's not perfect, and the reg number is different, but I think this is the same plane: http://www.simviation.com/fsxprops21.htm

4th one down

"FSX Cessna C172SP in a N272SP, Aspen, Textures only.  This is a repaint of the default FSX Cessna C172SP in a N272SP Repaint (owned by Aspen Flying Club at Centennial Airport) By Anthony Celentano. 4.7MB"

I started FSX to look at my Cessna and there it was! I don't even remember downloading & installing it! ;D

Thanks for the additional pics RichardH! :)

First you get one with 50000 downloads, and now one with a messed up description! You're having some strange luck with your repaints here lately. ;D ;)

It's a really nice paint, and looks almost exactly like the paint scheme that he is after. Is it the same? And do you still have the files to where you could just change the reg. number to the one he is after?
