I tried the A10 here , but seemed to have an incompatibility problem or ? with FS2002 .  Anyone aware of a good freeware A10 ?
Thanks ,
Jamie ( James )

People don't really make planes for FS2002 still. Though you'll probably find an A-10 somewhere.

Try these:
These are all here in the FS2002 section and one of them may be the one you tried.

I don't have FS2002, it was the one in the series that I skipped over, but still, let us know how these work out for you. :)

Hi Shane ,

The ones in Simviation are the one I had .  Not sure what the problem was with it , but seemed to have a bad file or ????  MY second download last night indicated that I needed to insert the CD ?????? May just be my PC ?

I just got the one fom AVSIM and is a great visual model , but has a default Lear panel with interior views , etc .  They usually recommend a panel , but none was suggested  .  I met an American Airlines pilot ( retired ) last night who flew the A10 and I thought he would find it remarkable to see how the planes and flight simulators have evolved for the PC .

Thanks for all of your help Shane ,

Jamie

Hi Jamie. Not sure why you're having problems with the files from Simviation. I'll check them out later. I still have FS2002 installed for troubleshooting purposes.

Must be something your end. I've installed literally hundreds of addons to all versions of FS. I've never seen this before.

Hello Hagar ,

May have just been my slow dial-up and a corrupted file ?   I too have downloaded hundreds and not seen that before .  I re-downloaded last night and it did not say that , but said something about file could not be copied , etc.   I also could not open the read me .  Most unusual !!
Thanks,
Jamie

I'm still looking for an '02 A-10 specific panel, haven't found one yet, but there are two generic fighter panels at the bottom of this page that might work out for you until one is located, Better than looking at a lear panel ;)

I know this isn't the best pic, but for comparison purposes in choosing a generic panel, here is a photo I took of an A-10 cockpit:

Shane's 3 links all appear to be the same aircraft. I downloaded A10a.zip here. http://simviation.com/simviation/static.php?ID=75&page=26

It contains two versions of the A-10. Both are those awful auto-installers. I suspect this is the cause of your problem. I suggest trying again & redirect the extract path to a Temp folder.

You have to install A10_1 as it contains the panel & sound. A10_2 is aliased to it. Haven't tried it in FS2002 yet but the panel looks fine.

I hate it when that happens >:(
Sorry about that, I should have read the descriptions a little more, I just posted every A-10 I could find. :-[

Hey Shane ,

You did fine and Hagar seems to be getting the A10 OK  .  Not sure why I had problems with it , but shall try it again .  I suspect my very slow dial up may be part of the problem .

I doubt the download speed has anything to do with it. You wouldn't be able to extract the zipfile if it was corrupt.

I manually installed the one I mentioned into FS2002. It works fine. Nice panel & even a pretty good DVC. Here's the 2D panel.

To install this aircraft first extract A10a.zip. Open the extracted folder to find a folder named A10_1. Open this folder & look for a file named setup.exe. Double-click on it to run the auto-install.  Redirect the install path to a Temp folder anywhere on your HDD. Then go to the Temp folder & install the files manually in the usual way.
