Anybody know of a freeware source where i can get this aircraft?

Thanks

Were the ones you downloaded from Simviation?

Jet City Aircraft make one. Run it through a search on simv, if there's nothing then google it. ;) You may need to download a repaint for it - but I assure you one DOES exist.

There is a couple in FS2004 repaints library for the SGA MD-95 over at avsim.net
I do not have any Airtran textures, but I do have the SGA MD-95 and it works in FSX.  The SGA MD-95 that I have was freeware and I probably got it from avsim.

You can get the Jet City B717 over at avsim.net also.

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... DLID=64318

This comes with a Airtran texture and this does work in FSX, I have it.

You can go here for some recommended panels and sounds.

I think that there are more Airtran repaints over at JC if you look around for them.

It has been over a year since I got the JC B717 and I do not remember if I just used the complete avsim package or if I added anything to it from the JC site above.

I hope that this helps!

i downloaded the one from jet city, and i did the setup and installed it the the airplanes file in fsx. All that im getting in that file is an Adobe readme and a shortcut to their website.

When you download the B717 from Jet City and unzip the file you get a setup tool that installs into FS9.  Just let it install where it wants to, look at the path before it installs so you know where it is.  After it has installed then you need to copy the aircraft folder to your FSX airplanes folder.  It has been over a year since I installed this so I do not rember if I had any problems.  You may need to also download the panel folder and sound folder from the Jet City site in order to make the plane work.  I may have used the MD80 panel folder from this site.  If you change the panel folder then you may need to change the aircraft.cfg file so that it is looking for the right panel folder.  Also this is only a 2D cockpit, it does not have a VC.
