Anyone know where to find an Embraer Legacy 600? The one on Avsim seems to have a broken link and the POSKY one doesn't seem to work in FSX.

Wilco Pub makes a Legacy for Fs2004/FSX, but it's payware. Posky is your best bet for freeware, they will release the VC for it soon.

What seems to be the problem with it? I've never heard of anybody having issues with Posky planes in FSX.

Well, I install it just the way they tell you to, and when I go to my aircraft menu in the sim, it doesn't come up. I am having the same problem with the 767 and Embraer 135 I think. Could be the 145, if any of those even exsist.

You're problem is that you don't have a thumbnail installed for the aircraft. The plane is there, but you can't select it from the airplane menu.

All you have to do is get any picture (usually one of the aircraft), rename it 'thumbnail' and move it to the aircraft texture folder. You should then see the aircraft in the selection menu.

Nope! There is already a thumbnail file, and it still doesn't work.

I beleive MSFS interprets the aircraft as AI only if you do not place a sound or gauge folder into the aircraft folder. Try copying over the CRJ panel and sounds over or download some.

Both of those folders are there already.

I just downloaded the Posky Embraer Legacy 600 to check it out. The reason it doesn't appear on the FSX selection menu is that the panel is aliased to the FS9 default b737_400 which is not included in FSX. To fix it, edit Panel.cfg in Notepad & change it to b737_800.

This is a very common problem with FS9 aircraft in FSX.

PS. While you're about it you might like to do the same with Sound.cfg.
