A New F-16?

I recently discovered that Kirk Olssens F-16 is pretty much a dead-bird for FSX due to the fact that his gauges are all for 98 and because there were other updates that needed to be done on the aircraft.
What are the chances that someone here will develop a new F-16 model -or- revamp Kirks so it will work?
I LOVE F-16's, they are one of my favorite birds and I would love to see a new model come-out!

My guess would be that Kirk will (once all the SDKs are created for FSX) revamp his existing one, since it is one of the most popular downloads out there.

We have a Greek F-16 package here that I think is a full revamp. Look in FSX Military downloads

Man, I sure hope he does! ;)

Thanks, I appreciate it but I knew it was there. Call me picky but I really want a US version, lol. Although, an F-16 is an F-16 so I guess I could fly that one until a working US version comes available.
Thanks again. :)

Start on Page 13 of the FSX Military section on this site and there are two FSX updates to Kirk's plane, you can then download all the USAF texutres that you want from the FSX and FS2004 Military sections.
Also there is a fix on Page 16 of the FSX Military section for Service Pack 2 and on Page 17 there is an udate for Acceleration.

Rod

Have you used these updates yourself? I installed all the updates I could find for it but still had no gauges. Either I installed the updates incorrectly -or- they still do not address the gauge issue ... I am not sure which.

I have downloaded and fly the F-16's from the FSX Military section and I have no problem with the gauges. Try the update on Page 1 of the Military section and see if those gauges work. I downloaded the F-16 over six months ago and do not remember exactly what I downloaded first. Look through the whole FSX Military section for any F-16 updates to Kirk's plane. If you look in th FSX panel section there is also an update, but I never could get that to work.

Ahhhh, the plot thickens! So, the Eric Marciano panel isn't working for you either BUT, the aircraft works for you without it? PERHAPS, Eric's panel is the issue with my install then. I'll try it without his panel.
Thanks ;)

So LeFeaoux, did you get it to work after you removed Eric's panel from the FSX panel section and used the one that came with the Bob Chicilo FSX version of the plane or try Mark Rook's Shaw AFB plane on Page 13 that should work and then you can download all the other textures from FSX and FS2004 that were done for Kirk's, Bob's and/or Mark's plane.

Ya know what? I haven't even messed with it yet. I have been kinda busy with other things so I haven't had much time to dink around with FSX too much. I am glad you brought it up though because I almost forgot about this.
I will get to it and I will let you know if it works.
