DC3 - Turbine PT-6A Bassler Type

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

DC3 - Turbine PT-6A Bassler Type

Postby ZS-JAG » Fri Oct 26, 2007 3:38 am

Hi Guys,

Can anyone direct me to where can I download a DC3 Turbine powered type. These Old ladies were were converted from the radials to Turbine and specific in use by ICRC in Afrca as well as by the South African Airforce as a temp replacement for the retired Shackeltons on coastal patrol duties.

This is an ordinary DC3, stretched and powered by PW PT-6A Engines, this conversion blew new life into the grand old lasies of the sky.

In wiew of the above, it will be really a nice plane to fly on Fsim

I surf the web but could only manage to find a model for the FS2000, and I am looking for a desigend model for FS2004 Century of Flight.

I hold thumbs

ZS-JAG out.

I'd like to have one. But since I can't design it, I can only wait until one comes along.

Crash ;)

The YC-121 is such a good plane, I have been flying the wings off it. As for the Convair I am going to go searching for that one.

DC3.... Anyone? :(

I don't know anything about makeing aircraft but it seems to me that if you can make a turboprop lockheed constellation wouldn't taking a DC-3 and adding turboprops to it be some what more simple :-?

You would need the source files of the DC-3 wich arent availible as far as i know. Then you would need the source file from the donating plane, and then mixing it all together too get it to work, so i doubt anyone is going to do this.

I fly around South Africa enough in FS9 so I wouldn't mind one.

I'm surprised MAAM hasn't made one. Oh well I voted but I doubt it matters. :(
