MAAM-Sim DC3/C47... startup requires fuel pump, primer, starter, then vibrator... and you'd better have the cowl flaps open and mixture set properly, among other things... ;D

For freeware jets, it doesn't get better than the Avro panel project by Mathias Lieberecht for the Avro RJs/BAe146s - great realistic panel, great documentation. Use the Murchison or better, the Hannity models and you have a great plane.

The TinMouse II panel for the 737-200 is also very realistic, but doesn't yet have any detailed instructions included on how to use it, although there is a long readme file. Best used with the TinMouse model by Terry Gaff, or the Kittyhawk/Erick Cantu model.

Google for them - easy to find.

I suppose you think about jets, but for props, try the SOH team A-26.....

There is an Airbus A300 available at WSPilots.com. It comes with a very realistic panel. The model itself is very good too. The package comes with a dozen liveries.

Crash ;)

I absolutely agree with this.  And the new Version 4.0 panel (currently in beta testing) is promising to be even better than the previous one... which was already amazing.

best,

the Aeroworx King Air B200 is very realistic in this regard.  IT has a maintenance module too, so if you start the engine and experience an overheat, it will damage the engine.  As you look for realistic aircraft, keep in mind that many of the newest jets ARE push-button start, with the FADEC doing all the work and the pilot monitoring startup temps, etc just in case of a problem.
