Anyone take requests?

I "grew up" on flight simulator 2000, and then 2002. I missed the last one but just bought FSX and was sorely disappointed to find the Cessna 208 Amphib was not included... Is there anyone who can adapt the latest version of this plane to FSX? I would also like to see more models of amphibious aircraft. Like flying boats that can also land on a runway, I would fly those exclusively if I could download one. I should have bought the pro edition but is there a way to take the pro edition grumman and modify it to work in regular FSX? I appologise up front for my ignorance...

Well, you having the pro Goose and installing it into the standard edition is a copyright infringement, unless you have it from the demo version (I think).
And I would recommend you try out the Stratojet Albatross, one of my all-time favorite aircraft. Get it here. You'll have to modify it to fit in FSX, but I'm pretty sure it'll work.
You can see some shots of a repaint I made here.Sorry, it doesn't work. I just read up on the site and it says much has to be done. And since its FSDS, he hasn't had the tools for very long. Looks like we won't be flying this one in FSX for some time to come . . .

I'm sure that in time there will be a lot more aircraft to download to FSX.

They put the Goose in the Standard Edition, it's just not flyable... or is it... The aircraft is in the airplanes folder, just something is missing. If Microsoft put it in the folder almost fully complete... why can't it be flown?... I have been able to fly it and I have the Standard edition of FSX. It seems to me that if they put it there and only one addon is need that can be aquired from any addon site... why is it breaking the law if its there and Microsoft encourages addon developers? But I can not tell you on account that somehow it is illegal. The Maule and any of the AI aircraft can be flown by following this same principle.

Flying AI aircraft shouldn't be any kind of illegal . . . never was before. If you have info to the contrary, I'd love to read it. But don't worry, keep doing what you're doing. I'm almost positive it doesn't go against the rules. After all, it's in your aircraft library. You should be able to fly it . . .

Well I want to have the goose to fly, but don't want to break any laws to do it... well repaints and panels are done to the original aircraft all the time... any chance someone could make a good Grumman Goose panel? I don't think that would be breaking any laws...

Look around: there are plenty out there, I'm sure. In fact, why not download one of the existing Gooses for FS8 or 9 and take the panel out of that? Mike Stone did one that I'm sure would work . . .

Yeh, just add or alias any panel to any of the aircraft in your folder... Grumman Goose and Maule are complete models, full detail like in the deluxe version. AI aircraft are lower Poly and less texture detail, but that's all you have to add... maybe some sound files to AI but a panel is all that is needed for the Goose and Maule
(AI do have opening doors and such animations)
I posted this in the FSX forum the second week it was out but with a missleading title since I wasn't sure if it were legal or not.
