This is pretty obviously not for "Real Aviation", because it is told that the engines on this thing are nonfunctional mockups.

But technically, can this thing be made to really fly? How would it be done?

Boeing just did another hugely weird thing with an old 747-400 frames - 747-400LCF. Sawed off the whole upper fuselage and tail, built a new top fuselage and reattached the tail. They think that this thing can fly and that when the tail is closed and locked, it can function - stabilizer, fin, elevators, rudder and all.

Now, as to the 747-XXX - what engines would you mount in those pods in stead of those mockups? Can you provide the necessary takeoff thrust with engine size as shown on images and reasonable weight and wing bending moment?

Can a flight simulator of 747-XXX be made?

Mind you, Casino Royale is not yet out, but I have some fear that the movie might include more howlers about what actually happens with the plane...
