Does anyone know of any really good GA aircraft. I would like a good VC, VC only planes preferred, but not required. Sorting the good planes from the bad is difficult when you're only presented with a picture no bigger than deck of cards. I'm re-learning how to fly and dicovered that I really like the little guys.

GA is an awfully large category, ranging from backyard homebuilts with rudimentary instruments to the latest turbo-powered triple-thrusted vectromat with overhead underhang.  What sort of thing do you enjoy flying?

All WWII warbirds, anything between a 172 and  a Commander (the twin engined one)

1st, a WWII warbird is NOT GA! Search for Milton Shupe on any website, his commanders will suit you fine for a few months

Try the Messerschmitt Taifun... It's been one of my favorite GA aircraft for a long time. Good, if not stellar, VC (Above average for freeware, at least), flys well. Vintage too, and has sorta a warbirdy feel without being one by a long stretch.

A number of the Bill Lyon's Classics, particularly the Piper Apache, but also the Tripacer, Swift, and a few others. You can search for Bill Lyons here, but last I knew Simviation still lacked one or two of his planes... AVSIM or Flightsim.com would probably have the others. I'd personally suggest all of Bill Lyon's planes without a moments hesitation, even if you don't normally like flying the type of aircraft they are.

Thanks. I already have the Luscombe, Maule, and Apache. I'm currently flying RTW in the Maule. I'm in Miami, Florida. Still have a long way to go. I think I'll be picking up that corsair on the Taifun's page too.
