Hawker Fury, Hind

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

Hawker Fury, Hind

Does anyone know of a decent Fury , Hind, Hart or Audax suitable for FS9?

I know there is a Hawker Fury for FS98 , but it would not be too good in FS2004.

I can't say I know of a decent one. I think Icarus do one but its not terribly inspiring for payware...

...and their Lysander was the only payware aircraft I've deleted within a week of purchase...

I'm not sure what you'll accept for paint, nor can I vouch for quality, but for the Hawker:

There is a Hawker Demon over at sim-outhouse.com; it's not brilliant, but it's also not a total disaster.  Strangely this appears to be an aircraft family that Icarus have totally overlooked - fingers crossed that somebody will take them on, a decent Hind would be a sight to enjoy!

H,

Thanks for the suggestions, but it was the bi-plane Fury I was looking for .Thanks anyway.

Andy G,

Thanks , I have now downloaded the Sim -O model, not installed it yet. As you say the screenshots show it not up the best FS9 standard ( to be fair, I think it was designed to be frame rate and AI friendly ).

It would be nice if some clever designer would produce a high standard Hawker Hind modelled say on the surviving Shuttleworth collection or Hendon birds. It would make  a fantastic  visual model, what with all that shiney aluminium and silver dope finish etc .

Charlie,

Thanks also.

Icarus seem to be having trouble with their web site ( or perhaps it is me! )

I will have alook at this when I can get hold of them.

Thanks again

Yep - do they still have the same "back on 24th August" thing on the site? The Icarus Fury is also available at Simmarket. It looks a little better than the Lysander...

Charlie,

Thanks . Yes Icarus have still got the 24th August message.

Checked out the Fury on Simmarket , it looks a bit "FS98-ish" from the not very detailed screenshots available.

Will have to consider whether it is worth 12 euros or whether it is better to wait for a better model to come along.

This series of aircraft, as one of the most beautiful of the biplanes, is long overdue for a really high quality rendition.

The problem with some of these old birds - for those of us not near Shuttleworth - is getting interior details ..

Then there are the Major Decisions to be made - turtleback or not ???
