MV 22 Osprey

for fs98 there was an Osprey that came with a alternate chopper .air file, and i'm flying it still.

one thing i find annoying about it tho. the rotor tilt was done with flaps, but they don't work anymore since fs 2k. it doesn't affect the flight profile and does'nt lead to a crash when the rotors hit the ground, but it is still strange looking.

now my question: is there a tweak for that?
maybe just having the rotors fixed in vertical position, or maybe turning them as exit doors or something.

Sadly, no, unless you had the original source files and they could be converted to a format that can be used in FS2002/FS9 compatible modelling software.

I've had some success in making aircraft with helicopter flight dynamics that behave like VTOL aeroplanes (FS2002) and have made a few tilt-fan types and my teqniques could be adapted for a tilt-rotor.

Unfortunately, I did not have FS9 at the time and although I was assured by a beta tester that they worked fine in that sim, it turned out that that was not so, the aircraft being both slow and unstable (FS9 compatible flight dynamics now available if anyone expresses an interest, otherwise I shan't bother supporting that sim).

I don't 'do' real-world aircraft as such, as there are plenty of tallented designers already doing all that but I might be persuaded to work jointly with someone else to adapt an existing GMAX V22 should one exist.
