Okay, I like relaxing flight.  So can anyone recommend a really good glider?

Anything by Wolfgang Piper is fantastic!
Try his stuff on http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_10.htm http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_9.htm and http://www.simviation.com/fsgliders_11.htm for true gliding happiness ;)

UPDATE

Well, i knew about wolfgang piper for a while, and I picked up one of his newer gliders, the Let L-13 Blanik.  I must say that it is very nice so if you want to take some time to just relax in flightsim, this would be a glider to get.

You can get the Blanik and MANY more gliders at his site:

Is the Emma field payware the only way to get thermals, unless you build them yourself?

There are a number of freeware thermal packages available, we have some in our glider downloads section, and you'll find others at avsim and flightsim ;)
