XB-70 Valkyrie

What aircraft have you been unable to find after a long search? There may be an answer!

XB-70 Valkyrie

I have looked up and down for this sleek pre SR 70, mach 3 plane.

The lines are just beautiful, and the winglets. Well reverse winglets that is, around 20 foot winglets. Six GEs to push it, a gas tank you can stand in and bomb bays for nukes.

It sure would be cool to see someone make a copy of this $750,000,000 plane that only logged 800 hours, or something close to that (what a drag)

This is one site that has just a few pics http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.s ... ords=xb-70

I hope that my enthusiasm rubs off on someone that has the knowledge to create one.

I have it, and its pretty nice. When taxiing you can really tell that you are 30 feet in front of the "nose wheel", because the nose swings wildly- sort of like driving a bus. VC is pretty good, but mine has texture problems. The exterior is great- take it from someone who has seen the real one at Wright-Patterson AFB Meuseum  8) ;). A very impressive aircraft indeed.

Aircraft are naturally beautiful because form follows function. -TB
