I don't know if this applies to anyone else, but I was and still am a big fan of the disney Cartoon TAILSPIN. For those who dont know the prefix of the cartoon, It was set in the thirties and revolved around an air transport company. most of the caracters were from the Disney JUNGLE BOOK movie. Baloo the bear was the main caracter as a cargo pilot. many key jungle book caracters, Shere Kahn, Raa the snake, And king louie played roles close to there jungle book counterparts. But the real stars of the cartoon were the aircraft. Almost every airplane was an anphibian because most of the places that were shown were islands or open ocean. Most of the planes were of course, cartoon like, while some closly resembled real world aircraft. I was about 10 when it aired and already loved airplanes and was enthralled by the variety of planes that flashed across the screen. But, The one plane that has been imprinted in my mind for over a decade, was Baloo's airplane, a Conwing L-16 he called the

I'm pretty sure it's a Grumman-built plane, but I'm not really sure what model. It's been a while since I watched that show (I liked it too), so the memory is a little fuzzy. Maybe a Goose or a Mallard?

Well, there's enough info there to do it, but the only problem is what to do about copyrights:

With real aircraft, you can say they are "Representative" or "Informational" but that doesn't really apply there.

If anyone can give me that sort of information, then I'll have a go at it.

I would think it would still be OK as long as you dont sell it. Not sure though.

Don't know about the States...but in Canada it would be covered by "reasonable use".

For the record...overall length of the Duck is 75'.

I've got one in long term plans...but FS10 will probably be in stores before that flys. :)

I don't think it would be a problem either. I saw a  free fs download for the broomstick for "harry potter". I hope someone builds a model a model BEFORE fs10 comes out! On another note, would'nt it be cool if someone built senery based on the cartoon?

I loved that show too, If I knew the slightest bit about designing FS aircraft, I'd be starting it right now, but, I dont. I highly doubt it would be a proble, you see models of things from shows, and movies all the time.

Also, It would be cool if there was a virtual cockpit that looked similar to the picture above, and a virtual cabin based on the drawing above, but thats asking for quite a bit.

The only thing I ask is that when you set the autopilot, a crowbar appears across the yoke.  ;D
