F-106

Hi Simmers,

I'm looking for an F-106A or F-106B (or both), that has full animation of the control surfaces, landing gear, drag chute and air brake. (I had one at one time, but lost it on a re-install of FS-9). I've tried the few Sim sites that I am aware of, but can't find an F-106 that is animated in my FS-9 program operating under XP Pro.

Anyone have any suggested sites - or authors that may supply one? Assistance would be appreciated.

I Think at flightsim, aka, nonodels there is a F-1060and F-102 made by Mr. Ito - can't remember if they're 100% fs2004 compatible but I use 'em both

Hey Foo Fighter,

Yeah, I've already tried those. The F-102 has animation, but neither of the F-106's I got from this site have animated parts. I sent an e-mail to Kazunori Ito asking about an animated model, but haven't received a reply yet.

The reason I want an animated F-106 is that I flew one in the early sixties, and of course, that is my favorite. It was known as the "Cadillac" of Cold War Fighters.

Thanks anyway,
Rebel

I've tried once to reach Mr. Ito bt no success at all like U - methinks he doesn't like interference in his jobd nor ideas.
So let's hope someday he ll make a total upgrade of these 2 awesome aircrafts!
IMO they're missing badly in our simu-world

well you can find the f-106 herehttp://www.simviation.com/fs2002military42.htm

And the f-102 herehttp://www.fsfreeware.com/dcd/FS2004/Aircrafts/index-13.html ;D ;D ;) These aircraft are really ment for fs2002 so don't accept anyting fancy like VC, if a note shows up in the fs9, say no! Or the gear and no animations will show up, if it has anything to do with the model ;)

Hey Citation5,

Thanks for the information, but I didn't fully understand the part about "if a note shows up in the fs9, say no!" Could you elaborate? I've tried about 7 different F-106's since this problem first showed up after an fs9 reinstall. I don't think I got a "note" to say "no" to from any of them. (I am running the "no CD" patch, but otherwise the basic FS9.exe is unmodified.)

I guess my next step is to reinstall FS-9- again, and start reloading the aircraft I have - one at a time.

Thanks for your help.

Well the sign will only show up with fs2000 and fs2002 models because it's not updated for fs2004, so when you install a fs2002 aircraft their will be a sign show up the first time you select the airplane, then just reply no.
So then it will not take out the animations ect.

Citation5,

Thanks a "TON"! I uninstalled FS9 and reinstalled it, and reloaded my aircraft one at a time... and it worked! I now have my F-106A and F-106B with full animation again. Now that I know what the problem is, I'll fix the other aircraft too.

Tanks, again,
