hi all, with it being the 60th year celerbrations of D-DAY I was woundering if anyone had made a Horsa glider which was used to such great affect in the war. It would be great if someone could make the simple glider for fs2002/04 i wouldnt think it would be hard to create. Heres a simple picture for anyone who isnt aware of what a Horsa looks like

http://www.io.com/tog/graphics/horsa1.gif

here is also some info like wingspan, length etc

http://www.io.com/tog/horsa.html

please if anyone has the time to make one let me know I would be very very grateful.

I thought the glider missions of WW2 were total failures?

by no means, some of the most successful missions achieved in the war were down to gliders, weather bringin in crack troops like the paras on dday or to supply missions like those of market garden from which most of the airbourne troops relied.

You only have to look at the dday coverage this weekend gone to see how amazing some of the glider missions were that day. The attack on the pegasus bridge and the surrounding area was amazing most likely the most remarkable piece of flying ive ever heard of landing 3 gliders just metres away from the bridge and then taken it in 10 minutes all done by night. Certainly made me very proud seeing the men who were there that day i think its only right we keep what they did very very much in the spot light, as a brit im certainly never forgetting and being 19 i hope other people my age spend time finding out what these brave people did.

Afsoc is right. Some of the most succesful missions of WWII were carried out by Glider. Pegasus bridge the example used. But also, the german mission to steal Mussolini from the allies in 1944 was carried out by glider. And if that mission wasn't a success then neither was D-Day. 8)

Two things:
1. When do you think you will upload the Horsa?
2.
I'm doing the WACO too.

THANK YOU!!!  Finally, after so many requests someone finally does it! I'm still smiling.

I think it's your source file, it's the one in design adoption here.
