Heya Sir_Knight57,

I was going over some of the posts in the SimV Aircraft Wanted Section and found this link posted by Vohy:

http://www.fsfrance.com/Projets/Mach2/Download.htm

This is a freeware Concorde with many different liveries, sound files, ect.  You may wish to download a different panel here at SimV (many to choose from here -- even the FS 2002 panels will work in FS 2004 with a minimum of fuss).  Apparently the Concorde Panel on the FSFrance website is experiencing technical difficulties --

Hope that this helps.

You must have very high standerds. The Project Mach 2 concorde is one of the best FS models i've ever seen. It's got a full DVC, full moving parts, good effects and it fly's. The only draw back is that it's a little hard on the frame rates and it takes an age to download on dialup. I'm afraid you'll be hard pressed to find, or find someone willing to make, a better model.

lol, guilty.

I have the concorde though, and i have to say the flight dynamics are not good. Firstly, turning the aircraft is too easy considering it's delta wings, secondly, overspeed was set at something like 350 Kts, and thats true airspeed not indicated, and thirdly it was incredibly easy to raise and lower the nose.

I'm picky i know, but that's only cos i'v never made any planes (apart from a repaint) and i don't know how it's done.

looks cool though  :P

cheers

To get Concorde going super sonic you've got to take it up to around 45,000 feet and open up the throttles. As for turning, I can't say I found it easy. What are your realism settings like?

I would go to the website and check to see if there are any FS2004 updates for it. After all, the main aircraft was designed for FS2002.

speaking of supersonic airliners, try downloading this:
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004jets82.htm
It's the only other passenger supersonic airliner, i don't know if it ever took passenger, but none the less, very good file, with sounds and everything.

I believe that aircraft was quite quick to crash and burn, with the whole project following the same fate. All it is is a Russian Concorde built with stolen Concorde plans.

Hi Woody - ooops, Smurf!

You sure about that? The wing design is very different (double delta flat wing against Concorde's curved and chamfered jobby), and then there are those ears...

;)

Quite sure. Aside from minor differences, like the ears the two aircraft look almost identical.
