Why throughout all the history of flight simulator have business aircraft been so overlooked??

I doubt that you can say they're overlooked ...  Eaglesoft's Citation X is a standard setting machine and the Falcon that's out there is a good model  as well.

HOWEVER, that said, the "market"  craves overblown tin sausages and other models.

Subliminally, it may be that corporate jets are "inaccessible" to most of us, GA aircraft are as close as the nearest municipal/local airport, and commercials jets are always news/overhead.  Military aircraft of all ages are,well, attractive in their own "seat of the pants, dashing daredevil"  sort of way.

Well, we shall see how the planes in Abacus' pub's upcoming Corporate Pilot 2 are. Although, I doubt they will be the same quality for Fs9 as the first Corporate Pilot release for FS2000 was.
