An Aerodyne Sea Rey

While I was on the beach today (in this unseasonably warm weather) I saw one of these planes land on the bay:

It is similar to the Lake Renegade except for the exposed engine, it being a two-seater, and a taildragger.

It is a variable-speed, fixed pitch prop (no feathering...I'm still new to these aviation terms).

The livery was green and white.  It is a cloth-covered plane.

I hope some designer will go for it! :)

I saw one of those land at Saltspring Is, BC in Ganges Harbor. It followed this speedboat to the dock and landed downwind in about 200ft. I wanted to ask the pilot about it, but the arogant bas***d thought I was going to pinch it. ::)

Looks pretty cool, might try it as a venture into g-max, will have to see though, looks quite complex ??? ;D
