While your at Avsim, look up "Bill Lyons Tiger Moth."
The best moth I've ever seen.

Yeah I have them too, really nice. The Lyons package comes with a bunch of pre-planned flights also that are quite fun!!

I have a great deal of respect for Bill Lyons so don't take this the wrong way. Having worked on & flown the Tiger Moth I know almost every nut & bolt on the old girl. I doubt very much that he has seen one up close. Being the fussy old wotsit that I am I prefer John Woodside's version as this is visually accurate. John still flies them regularly & knows more about the old Tiger than I do.

Well there's something I didn't know.
Guess I'll have to have both in my hanger.

It's just me being fussy. I know that. I just happen to know more than most on this particular aircraft. I wouldn't spoil it for you by pointing out a few little things that Bill didn't get quite right. I'm sure that the majority of aircraft in FS have similar faults.

I'd been searching for a decent Tiger Moth since the days of FS98. The only ones I could find looked more like a Sopwith Camel than any Moth I've ever seen. I even started on my own at one time. Nothing fantastic but at least it bore a reasonable resemblance to a Tiger. I couldn't believe my luck when John finally released his FS2002 version. This has since been updated for FS9. It looks right & feels right. As I told him, you can almost smell the oil. ;)
